A specialist physiotherapy examination is a fundamental medical encounter aimed at the evaluation and treatment of musculoskeletal and neurological disorders through physiotherapeutic interventions. Physiotherapy is a discipline that focuses on rehabilitation, improvement of physical function and pain management through therapeutic exercises, movements and manual techniques. The main objective of a physiotherapy visit is to promote the patient's recovery, mobility and physical well-being.
During the examination, the physiotherapist performs a detailed assessment of the patient's physical condition, including movement, posture and joint function. This process helps to identify dysfunction, pain and movement limitations. Based on the assessment, the physiotherapist develops a customised treatment plan that may include therapeutic exercises, joint mobilisations, relaxation techniques and other therapeutic modalities.
The first physiotherapy assessment visit includes an initial meeting with the patient and subsequent compilation of the physiotherapy record.
During this first meeting, the physiotherapist will collect data on the problem that has brought the patient to his or her attention (nature, origin, location and mode of expression of the problem) and on his or her medical history (accidents, injuries, surgery).
After this interview, we move on to the objective examination, where the posture is assessed and the patient is clinically examined.
As a complement to the examination, the ultrasound instrument is very important for investigating tendon and muscle problems.
All aimed at making the best therapeutic choices in order to solve the patient's problem in the best and shortest possible time.
